Students of class S2 of the The Modern School, ECNCR visited an old age home at BAWANA on October 12, 2019

Old age is also called the second childhood and is a time when one needs love and care of the near and dear ones. The visit aimed at making youngsters aware of the plight of the elderly so that they realize how important it is to look after them

The elders residing there were very friendly and they welcomed us with their beautiful smiles.

They spent their time with elders there speaking to them about their daily routine and their hobbies. They also learned about the facilities provided to the senior citizens to make them feel comfortable and cared for. The young modernites spent quality time playing Antakshri and singing songs. The children also made them sing old songs. They shared their life experiences with students who were inspiring. The visit made the students understand the value of their grandparents and how lucky they are to be with them.

The students also vowed to take good care of their parents and grandparents.
