It is important for today's youth to learn that in the society where they live, has in its midst, these challenges which have to be understood and overcome.
To inspire the value of empathy for differently abled children', The Modern School, ECNCR organized a visit to Koshish, a school for the mentally and physically challenged on October 4
and 5, 2018. The students of class S5 accompanied by their teachers visited the school. The purpose was to reach out to the differently abled children who are an integral part of the society
at their school premises and sensitize the students of The Modern School about their social responsibility. There the group learned that some of the parents of the deprived had abandoned
them. The support and patronage of some people who initiated the school had lit the lamp of hope in their life.

There were all smiles, greetings and handshakes. It was a delightful interaction with them for the students of The Modern School, ECNCR. The students taught the children clay modeling and
played with them. They sang songs and danced too, thus making them comfortable. The young modernites learned the valuable lesson of being humble and kind to everyone around them. After
the visit ,students reflected and resolved to help such students and work for them throughout their life in the future.
