‘Something that is seen in real can be easily perceived than something that we simply read in a book’.

A child’s heart not only seeks knowledge but also yearns for joviality as well as learning through the experience of new and exciting things, places and people. Keeping this in mind ,The Modern School, ECNCR organized a joyful educational trip to Keoladeo National Park for the students of class P3 from October 6 to October 7,2018.

Keoladeo National Park in Bharatpur is the world’s famous avifauna sanctuary, best known for its bird watching destination. Students got an opportunity to behold the sight of many inland and migratory birds. During the tour they observed a variety of birds, guided by the well trained rickshaw pullers, having an impressive knowledge of various species of the birds. They saw kingfisher, parakeet ,painted stork, darter, egret, Eurasian spoon bill, laughing dove and many more. Students also got acquainted with the concept of dryland, wetland and marshy area. Surrounded with many professional tourist guides and bird watchers, the tour to national park was knowledgeable and made the students realize the importance of connecting one’s soul and spirit with nature .The tranquillity and serenity of the sanctuary engulfed the minds and souls of the young modernites.

‘In order to see birds it is necessary to become a part of the silence’- the true meaning of this was understood by the students. They thoroughly enjoyed the trip and made wonderful memories. It was a rejuvenating experience that would always remain engraved in their hearts for years to come.
