The students of class P3 enjoyed a virtual excursion 'Travel to the Universe' on Thursday, November 25, 2021, excited to know more about space. The children's happiness knew no bounds as they learned about the spaceship and the spacesuit which were pre-requisite for space travel. The exciting journey commenced from ISRO as the children were mesmerized to see their mother planet, Earth from space were awestruck with the vastness of space and beauty of our planet. The students witnessed other planets and celestial bodies. They observed how planets move in orbits around the sun. They also learned how the low gravity on the moon makes one float on it and was equally spellbound to see how satellites are used to take aerial images which are sent to earth. They gathered interesting information about various astronauts. The journey ended with a glimpse of various important space missions launched under ISRO by the Government of India. It was a proud moment for the students to know that one of our modernites, Ritesh Antil was selected to participate in a special program for school children called the 'Young Scientist Programme' launched by ISRO. It was a great learning experience for curious minds.
