Virtual Excursion: Botanical Gardens of India P5

A virtual excursion is a medium of learning and help students to explore the unknown places virtually. The students of class P5 virtually visited the famous Botanical Gardens of India on November 25, 2021.

Such excursions offer students a way of feeling connected to the places that are thousands of miles away as they visited gardens like Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Indian Botanical Garden- Kolkata, Lloyd Botanical Garden- Darjeeling, Assam State Zoo Cum Botanical Garden- Guwahati, Botanical Garden- Hyderabad, Lalbagh Botanical Garden - Bangalore, Government Botanical Garden- Ooty, Jawaharlal Nehru Botanical Garden- Gangtok and Botanical Garden Nashik. They explored the rarest species of plants, trees, flowers and even hybrid plants and trees. They not only got an insight about what botanical gardens are meant for but also studied about the green houses. The most thrilling part of the excursion was the world famous Banyan Tree that is spread over the circumference of 330 metres. 360° view of some botanical garden were part of the excursion.

This virtual excursion strengthened their knowledge about the numerous plant species that they witnessed. It was a mind boggling experience for the students.
