Trip to Morni Hills
The Modern School, ECNCR organized an exhilarating adventure trip for P3 to P5 students to Morni Hills. This trip aimed not only to provide recreational activities but also to foster teamwork, leadership, and outdoor skills among the students. Over the course of 3 days and 2 nights, participants were engaged in various thrilling adventures and sports activities.
Upon arrival at the destination, the students were greeted by the group in-charges and given a comprehensive orientation about the itinerary, safety guidelines, and the activities planned for the trip. After settling into their accommodations, the students participated in sports activities like Cricket, Football, Musical chair, Badminton, Tug of war etc. to get to know each other and build camaraderie.
The adventure continued with second day dedicated to many adventure activities like Trekking, Sky Cycling, Zipline, Commando net, Parallel Rope crossing, Ladder crossing, Tyre obstacle crossing, Burma bridge, Balancing etc. The highlight of the trip was sky cycling, where students rode bicycles suspended high above the ground on specially constructed cables. Students faced the challenge of traversing a narrow rope bridge suspended between two points. Students soared through the air on ziplines, traversing distances with speed and excitement. Negotiating through a web of ropes, students challenged themselves physically and mentally as they navigated the commando net obstacle. The activity encouraged teamwork, problem-solving, and determination. Scaling heights with determination, students tackled ladder crossings, testing their strength and perseverance. Students honed their balance and concentration skills as they navigated balance beams and other challenging obstacles. Students embarked on a trekking expedition, navigating through diverse landscapes and immersing themselves in the beauty of nature. The trek provided opportunities for physical fitness, mental rejuvenation, and appreciation of the outdoors. Students watched "14 Peaks: The Quest for the World's Highest Mountains" which is a captivating documentary chronicling the remarkable journey of mountaineer Nirmal Purja, Second day ends with DJ night and scrumptious buffet dinner.
Third day began with an exciting excursion to the Rock Garden in Chandigarh, a unique sculpture garden built entirely from industrial and home waste. Led by knowledgeable guides, students explored the labyrinthine pathways of the garden, marvelling at the intricate sculptures, waterfalls, and meandering streams. The visit offered students a glimpse into the creative vision of artist Nek Chand, inspiring appreciation for art, recycling, and environmental sustainability. After an enriching visit to the Rock Garden, students returned to the school campus for a smooth transition back into the normal routine.
This adventure trip provided students with unforgettable experiences and valuable life lessons. Beyond the excitement of the activities, students developed essential skills such as teamwork, resilience, and problem-solving. The trip strengthened bonds among participants and instilled a sense of confidence and accomplishment in all involved.
