‘Swaraj Symphony’- Independence Day Celebration
Filling the air with a sense of national pride, The Modern School, ECNCR commemorated the completion of 77 years of India’s independence on August 8, 2024. The school premises, adorned with tricolour decorations, echoed the proud colours of the Indian flag.
The event was graced by the Guest of Honour, Mrs. Meera Malhotra , Coordinator, Board of Trustees, Modern School, distinguished trustees and promoters of platinum Education Trust other eminent guests.
As the national flag unfurled in all its glory hoisted by the Chief Guest, Shri Deepak Sharma, Deputy Inspector General, CRPF Dehradun and the Principal , Mr Rajiv K. Shrivastava, the , the melodious notes of the national anthem reverberated uniting the entire school community in a shared spirit of pride and solidarity.
Students from classes Pre-Nur to S6 presented a magnificent folk based patriotic dance ensemble, ‘Swaraj Symphony- Part1’ on the sprawling grounds of the school.
The ballet, ‘Swaraj Symphony- Part 2 was performed in the Mini Auditorium by the students to remember the contributions of all unsung heroes of the freedom struggle and revisit the milestones in history. It not only marked the struggle of our past, but also reminded us to uphold the spirits of liberty and patriotism for the years
The amalgamation of beautiful dances, eloquent narration, and a melodious school choir spellbound the audience.
In his address, the Chief Guest praised the efforts of the school in organizing such a magnificent and significant celebration. He encouraged the students to uphold the values that are the foundation of our great nation.
The Principal urged the students to be aware of the responsibility of not only upholding the values of equality and fraternity among citizens but also towards the environment.
The Guest of Honour, Mrs. Meera Malhotra ma’am, Coordinator, Board of Trustees, Modern School, highlighted the importance of working together towards a common goal
striving to be true human beings to build the nation.

Agarwal inspired the young modernites by highlighting the meaning of true freedom that is to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of everyone around us.
The event culminated with the vote of thanks proposed by Ravi Rana, Captain of Social Service League.
The celebration truly embodied the essence of freedom and unity, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.
