Summer Camp ? 2018
Children learn more by seeing and doing. They not only enjoy but reflexively imbibe the essence of each activity. Summer Camp is the best time to let them indulge in what they love and hone their creative skills.
The Modern School, ECNCR organized an exciting and stimulating Summer Camp from May 13, 2018 to May 26, 2018 as a prelude to the Summer Vacation ahead. To beat the heat and make the days fulfilling, a plethora of activities were organized wherein the children learned something new and creative that gave them an extra edge over the others. Students warmed up for the day with self-defence classes and adorned their caps to go to the sports ground where they passionately indulged in learning skating, football, cricket, basketball, table tennis, lawn tennis, athletics and taekwondo. They participated in their respective sport passionately.
Classes were also conducted for Art & Craft, Cookery, Multimedia, Theatre, Clay and Pottery, Western Dance, Music (Vocal & Instrumental), Best out of Waste, Model Making and Creativity at work (Nursery & K.G.). Students from classes Nursery to S3 ardently engaged themselves and let their creative juices flow through the activities they loved to engage in. They fully utilized the days, nurturing their inherent skills and talents.
The students got an opportunity to exhibit their creative work done during these multifarious activity sessions in the Summer Camp Exhibition organized on May 26, 2018, the culmination of the fun-filled camp. The exhibition of the work done by the students portrayed a vivid description of all the skills possessed by the students. The dazzling enactments of dance, music and plays astounded the audience. The hall reverberated with appreciative applause. The talent in multimedia was showcased through presentations and animations. Clay, Pottery and sumptuous display of delicious dishes attracted everyone’s attention. The exhibits of Art & Craft, Painting, Best out of Waste, Models and Creative Work done by the tiny tots were exemplary and showcased the “hands-on experience’ attained by the students.
