The Modern School, ECNCR organised KathakRecital by renowned Kathak artist, Sushree Monisa Nayak under the aegis of SPIC MACAY on April 29, 2019.

She was accompanied by Sh. YogeshGangani on tabla, Sh. Mohmmad Ayub Khan on sarangi and Sh.Samiullah Khan on harmonium. The artists were accorded a traditional welcome and the programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp.

The jugalbandi of all the artists and the mesmerizing footwork during the dance recital enthralled the audience. At the end of the event, SushreeMonisaNayak interacted with the students and satiated their queries by sharing interesting facts and valuable inputs discussing the nuances of Kathak. She also urged the students that while learning western dance forms, they must not forget their roots.

It was indeed a truly enriching experience for all.
