The Modern School, ECNCRcelebrated Republic Day on the school grounds with immense patriotic fervour and national pride on January 24, 2020. The flag that is symbolic of independent India was hoisted with great enthusiasm and reverence by the school Principal, Ms. Abha Sadana. In awe with its glory, the fine assemblage of students saluted the unfurled flag and sang with pride ' Jan Gan Man '.

The relevance of the day was explained in the classes and the Republic Day Parade that exhibits the grandeur of celebrations and commemorates the formation of the constitution by Dr. B.R Ambedkarji was shown to the students.

Dancing to the tunes of 'Jhansi ki Rani, 'Namaste India ' and 'Jaaga Hindustan ', the students showcased the diversity of cultures and traditions in India.

The Principal Ms. Abha Sadana in her address,motivated the students as the future of the nation, to think about preserving the culture and heritage of the country .She encouraged them to delve on all the issues and practices that are a deterrent to the growth and progress of the country, for instance, child labour, discrimination on the basis of caste, creed, and religion, illiteracy, etc.

Soaked in the spirit of patriotism, the assembly culminated with the song 'Vande Matram'

The song reverberated in the hearts of the young modernists and in the corridors of the school, long after it was heard no more. All pledged to abide by the laws of the constitution.
