Freedom in the mind, Strength in the words, Pureness in our blood, Pride in our souls, Zeal in our hearts. Shiwalik House presented its house function on April 24, 2024 from classes P3-S3 which was a vibrant celebration of talent and teamwork.

The function commenced with the welcome song by choir of the house followed by the Shiwalik House Report that was presented by the house captain Pranjal Kattar and Akshit Joon.The report showcased the enthusiasm and all the laurels and glories achieved by the students of Shiwalik House for the session 2022-2024.

The talented students of the house also enthralled everyone with their solo performances showcasing their skills in dance, vocal and instrumental music. The budding musicians and dancers surprised the audience with their talent.

A play titled ‘Panchmahabhoot’ was presented by the students with great enthusiasm and gusto. The Panchamahaboot concept of Indian philosophy states that the fundamental structural basis of all living beings (including all plants, animals and humans) is composed of 5 elements of ‘Panchmahabhootas.’ Panch means five; maha means supreme and bhootas means powers, so panchbhootas means five supreme powers. Panchamahabhoota stands for five physical elements: Earth (Prithvi), Water (Jal), Fire (Agni), Air (Vayu) and Aether / Space (Aakash). These elements have a great significance in nature and human life as well.  The confidence and ease with which the students delivered their dialogues throughout the play won everyone's heart. It was a small effort to teach the students through this programme that we can make the impossible possible through our curiosity and diligence, we can overcome the challenges and achieve new heights.

It was followed by the address of the Principal sir who addressed the gathering. He motivated and congratulated all the participants for their outstanding performance. It was truly an entertaining and a soulful event by the students of Shiwalik House which left everyone inspired and enthralled.
