A virtual assembly on International Human Rights Day was organised on December 09, 2021 which is celebrated annually across the world.

The United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) in 1948 on this day, a milestone document that states the inalienable rights that everyone is entitled to as a human being.

As this day empowers and acknowledges the advocates and defenders of human rights around the world, students were enlightened regarding the significance of  Human Rights. The thought, talk and talent presented by the students resonated the same. 

The theme of Human Rights Day 2021 is EQUALITY - Reducing inequalities, advancing human rights. It focuses on 'Equality' and Article 1 of the UDHR that is “All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights.”

The observation of the day aimed at inculcating in the youth of today the need to improve the physical as well as  socio-cultural well-being and welfare of the susceptible group of people throughout the world.
