The students of classes Nursery to P2 celebrated Cleanliness Week from July 11,2022 to July 15,2022. 
On the occasion of  Hygiene and Cleanliness week, an array of creative activities were organised with a view to sensitise the children about the importance of cleanliness practices and to motivate them to do their bit towards making their planet cleaner and more beautiful.
The students also took a pledge to preserve and conserve their self-sustaining planet. 
The week commenced with a dental check-up for all the students. Students who had cavities were advised for a dentist visit. 
 A PPT and video were shown to the students the next day elaborating in detail the importance of Personal Hygiene and how to keep our surroundings clean. It was followed by cleaning of classrooms and learning basic toilet etiquettes.

 Students made a dustbin and concepts of 'Dry waste’ and 'Wet waste’ were explained to them. They were also motivated to sort and put dry and wet waste in separate dustbins. 
A Show-N-Tell activity was held on the fourth day on ‘Personal and Environmental Hygiene’. Students spoke eloquently using props expressing how important it was for them to be responsible for the environment. 

A special assembly on Health and Environment was conducted wherein a Power point presentation was shown explaining about personal hygiene and how to keep ourselves healthy. Importance of meditation and yoga was also elaborated in detail. 
Children  also indulged in Art and Craft activities and ‘Fun Experiments’ like ‘Scatter the germs away’ related to cleanliness. It was a great celebration which worked as a key to teach cleanliness practices to young children that helped them realise that even at a young age they can be part of keeping themselves healthy and clean.
