Play! Win! Repeat! - Junior Sports Day

The Pre-primary wing of The Modern School, ECNCR celebrated its sports day on October 13, 2018 with great zeal, elation and enthusiasm. It was a day full of activities and fun as the effervescent kids geared up for the glorious and most awaited event of the session. Ms. Rimpy Verma , Headmistress, The Modern School , ECNCR welcomed the esteemed guests , parents and grandparents. She emphasised on the importance of sports in a child's life. She also accentuated the fact that The Modern School never believes in encouraging competition among little ones, as they all work and grow at their own pace.

The Chief Guest, Mr. Jubin Kumar who is a part of India Team in Asian and Common Wealth Championship games and Guest of Honour Mr. Sudhanshu Grover who represented India in World Championship (2012,2013) addressed the gathering, expressing their delight on witnessing the grand show. This was entailed by the declaration of the sports meet open by them, marking the commencement of the event. The colourful balloons mirrored the joy and mirth of the young sportspersons. The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Nalini Singh Rajput, Headmistress, Modern Early Years, Deepali. Thereafter, the day unfurled many splendid sports events and drills. The students of Nursery and K.G. of Deepali branch showcased dumble and hoola hoop drills respectively with deft movements. The spirited presentations of taekwondo, skating and yoga exhibited by Nursery and K.G. students of Kundli, left the audiences enthralled with their co-ordination and formations. The events acted as a medium to channelize the abundant energy of the budding sportspersons in the right direction. The little ones  mesmerized the audience with their well co-ordinated and energetic performances. The proud parents beamed with pride and constantly applauded them. The event culminated with the races of the thrilled parents and grandparents, thoroughly enjoyed and cheered by the young ones. The young modernites proved that competition is not all about winning, but about the spirit of competing with fun.

The jubiliance and grandeur of the event left an indelible mark on the participants and audience.
