International Yoga Day Special Assembly

"Yoga is a mirror to look at ourselves from within."

The Vindhyanchal House students of classes Nur-S7 celebrated the 21st International Yoga Day during a special assembly on June 18, 2021.The theme of the year 'Yoga at home and yoga with your family' was highlighted during the assemblies . The students were acquainted with the benefits of yoga in their day to day life and the fact that Yoga is an invaluable gift of India's ancient tradition, through a PPT. The students of different classes practised various asanas during the assemblies and a discussion about their health benefits also took place. Through a short skit on the topic, the students of classes P4 and P5 demonstrated the drawbacks of not doing yoga and the positive and vital changes that Yoga brings in one's life if practised regularly.

The spellbinding performances of Priyanshi of class P5 C and Kyra of class P4 C drew praises from the audience. Vivaan Kohli of class P2 B, Raaisha Sawhney of class P1 and Geetanshu Gupta of class S2A recited some thought provoking and inspiring poems on the topic.Vivaan Kohli of class P2 B and Raaisha Sawhney of class P1 presented poems onYoga. Different asanas were showcased by Kiyaan Goyal, Shreeya Parmar, Anantveer Singh Aulakh of class P1 C, Rishaan Aggarwal, Shubhaan Dang of class P1 A, Shourya Tushir of class P1 B, Raghav Dewani of class P2 A and Aarav Rana of class P2 C. Yoga asans were also presented by Leisha Bansal of class S6B, Varini Plodder of class S2A, Akash of class S4A, Shiven Bhatnagar class S2B, Aditi of class S7C and Prisha Aggarwal of class S7C. The students were encouraged to practice yoga to remain fit and improve their concentration. They also took pledge to indulge in it, so that it could help them to achieve a better life- physically, mentally and spiritually.
