The Modern School ECNCR participated in the IC3 Regional Forum 2020 held at Lancers’ International School, Gurugram on February 1, 2020. Ms. Anita and Ms. Kanika Khattar participated in this one day counselling event.

The main aim of the session was to make the counselors aware of the various carrier options available to the students after completing their school. The workshop aimed at emphasizing the need of carrier guidance in the present times. It focused on the imperative role a carrier counsellor plays in the lives of student. Career guidance should begin from as early as grade VI in all schools. All the teachers must be equipped and trained to guide the children about making informed career choices.

The entire day was spread into many fruitful sessions. The opening keynote speaker was Prof. John Shields, Academic Director International at the University of Sydney Business School who spoke about developing graduates who are future ready and future proof. The day was immersed into various sessions by industry experts, educationists and revered dignitaries. The session ended by closing keynote speaker Mrs. Lata Vaidyanathan, who reiterated the need for making the students more humanitarian than making them mere machines.The event also showcased a University Exhibit where representatives from various National and International Universities interacted with the teachers and students explaining the process of admission. It was an interactive and insightful event.
