'Essence of great leadership is ownership.'

The Installation ceremony of The Interact Club of The Modern School, ECNCR was held on November 5, 2020 on a virtual platform. The ceremony commenced with the National Anthem. Dhriti Garg , President , Interact Club of the school called the meeting to order, followed by the welcome of the guests, lamp lighting ceremony and Ganesh Vandana. The Principal, Ms. Abha Sadana welcomed the dignitaries and applauded the efforts of the club.

The event was graced by the benign presence of the District Governor, Rotarian Sanjiv Rai Mehra, Rotarian Rakesh Kumar ,Chair, District Interact, Rotarian Vipin Jain ,President, Rotary Club of Delhi, Rotarian Brij Mohan ,Secretary, Rotary Club of Delhi, Rotarian Taruna Mehta,Chair, Club New Generations and Rotarian Gaurav Ahuja ,Mentor, Parent Club. The outgoing President, Dhriti Garg shared her experience as the President of the club . In her report she outlined the social service and community development projects undertaken by the Interact Club of the school in the past one year.

The new elected President, Tavishi Dheer gave a glimpse of the initiatives planned for the upcoming session and introduced the new Interact Council members. It was a proud moment for the newly elected members as well as their parents as they were pinned by their respective mothers during the virtual celebrations. Rotarian Rakesh Kumar administrated the oath to the new council.

District Governor Rotarian Sanjiv Rai Mehra congratulated the office bearers and motivated them to give their best working for the betterment of the society.

He reiterated that the students had the potential to bring significant and positive changes in the society, as leaders. Rotarian Gaurav Ahuja presented appreciation awards to the outgoing council members , Dhriti Garg (President), Devansh Khatri (Treasurer), Parul Bhola (Vice president) and Tanya Khanna (ZIR) for their stellar efforts in serving the community.

The Headmistress, Ms. Rimpy Verma urged the interactors to continue marching forward to lead as well as serve, upholding the vision of the school. A mesmerising Indian classical dance performance by Mansa and Suvanshi of class S7 filled everyone’s hearts with joy on the momentous occasion. Some of the members also shared their experience of working as interactors.
