Independence Day celebrations at school often mean a beautifully decorated campus in ribbons and balloons of the national flag’s colors as well as students d looking forward to presenting some amazing performances. However, this year, the celebration had shifted online due to the coronavirus crisis, but the patriotic fervor for the celebration remained the same as The Modern School, ECNCR Delhi geared up for the virtual event on August 14, 2020.

The celebration for the 74th Independence Day commenced virtually with the welcome speech by the Principal,Ms. AbhaSadana .It was followed by Flag hoisting ceremony with the rendition of the national anthem. The spirit of freedom and nationalism was portrayed by the students and teachers through a dance ballet, ‘Shankhanad’. The modernites, through their enthralling performances, showcased the essence of patriotism, embellished with confident and eloquent dialogue delivery, graceful dances and melodious songs. It was a day of elation, a day of love and respect for the country. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by the Headmistress, Ms. RimpyVerma.
