'One of the most basic values of civilization is to respect your elders.'

Our elders have plenty of experience in life and they can teach us about enduring change and handling life's challenges. They have a great amount of wisdom and knowledge to share with us. So, it is important for the younger generation to learn the significance of respecting elders by listening to and spending quality time with them. To inculcate these values, Himalaya House conducted a virtual assembly on July 15, 2021, for classes S1 -S7 on the theme Respect Elders.

The talk presented and the thought highlighted the importance of respecting our elders in our life. The students urged everyone to treat elders with respect, even if their bodies or minds are beginning to fail them. The assembly culminated with the melodious rendition of a song dedicated to mothers followed by a short story highlighting how imperative it is to respect our elders. The students learned the value of being compassionate and respectful.
