The Modern School, ECNCR celebrated Jr Himachal House Function on May 10, 2019, with unprecedented fanfare at the school premises. The function was woven around the theme-'Say No to Child Labour'.
The special guests Ms. Nalini, Head Mistress, Modern Early Years Deepali and Ms. Swaraj Mehta, Former Coordinator, The Modern School ECNCR, graced the occasion with their valuable presence. The event commenced with the lamp lighting ceremony and the melodious symphony of Vandana.
It was followed by the House Report read by Vice House Captain Gatik Goyal.With great pride, he made the audience aware of the achievements of the house in the field of Academics and Co-curricular activities.
The talented students showcased a mesmerizing cultural presentation, depicting how child labor affects children and deprives them, of their sweet and memorable childhood days.
Students portrayed how the exploitative practices were still continuing despite various strict rules and regulations against Child Labour. The play ended with the pledge 'Say No To Child Labour' .‘Right to Education for All’ was highlighted and emphasized upon. Students seeked cooperation from the parent fraternity to ensure that child labour was discouraged by them, in and around their vicinity.
The Headmistress Ms. Rimpy Verma acknowledged the valuable efforts of the students and thanked the esteemed guests for their presence. She further outlined the plight of the underprivileged and how everyone’s joint efforts would ensure enlightened and reformed India.
