The auspicious occasion of Guru Nanak’s 550th birth anniversary was celebrated in The Modern School, ECNCR on November 11, 2019. Celebrations commenced with a prayer followed by Shabad recitation in the senior assembly wherein the students seeked blessings from the Almighty. The students were enlightened about Guru Nankji’ s life through a talk presented by the students and teachers of the senior block. Students of Vindhyachal House performed a dance on the song Nanak Aaya.

On the other hand, students of the primary section recited ‘Ek Onkar’, followed by the thought of the day and a talk presented on the topic, to highlight its importance. The bhangra presentation stole everyone’s hearts and the celebrations grew profound with the distribution of Kada Prasad. The Principal Ms. Abha Sadana wished everyone and spoke about the life history of the first Guru of Sikhs and the sikh religion in brief, highlighting the fact that it promotes universal brotherhood and harmony.
