Grandparents are a delightful blend of laughter, caring deeds, wonderful stories, and love'

The Pre-primary department of The Modern School, ECNCR celebrated Grand Parents Day on December 13, 2019, with great aplomb and enthusiasm. The theme of the event was ‘Retro-the golden years’. All the grandparents of Nursery and KG were invited to spend some time with the tiny tots in the school and enjoy games and activities with them.

Students of class Nursery presented a ramp walk dressed as the heroes and heroines of the yesteryears, whereas class KG performed dances on the songs of the 1970s and 80s. The heartwarming response of the grandparents to the performances was warmly cherished by the students. The grandparents were also mighty thrilled to participate in the games planned for them. They were found tapping their feet enthusiastically on the tunes of the old melodies.

The day that enveloped laughter, fun and frolic culminated with a sapling being gifted to the grandparents. They also pledged to water it and see it grow along with their grandchildren. The day was marked with their enthusiasm, warmth, love, and affection for their grandchildren. They carried the sapling back home as a memento of the special day, spent dancing, humming and merry-making.
