Gandhi Jayanti P1-P5
To have a lasting impression on an entire nation and a legacy that spans the world is difficult and rare. Few in history can claim such influence. Mahatma Gandhi was among the few. To commemorate the birth anniversary of Gandhiji, the students of classes P1-P5 from Himalaya House of The Modern School, ECNCR conducted a special assembly on Gandhi Jayanti and International Day of Non- Violence on October 1, 2020.
The assembly commenced with a melodious rendition of Morning Prayer by Ms. Pranamika Goswami ‘Vandana ke in swaron main…’. Nandini Kumar of class P5 D and Varnit of Class P2-B shared some anecdotes from Gandhiji’s life. She also threw light on the fact that he followed the path of non-violence and peace throughout his life to fight the battle against British rule. Nandini concluded her talk by singing the famous bhajan ‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram’. The news was presented by Devina Uppal of class P4 A and Karan Tomar of class P2 C.
The Weather Report was read out by Arjun Pannu of class P1B along with the vocabulary word. Thought of the Day was presented by Aryna Valecha P3A and Sifat Khurana of class P1B. Another thought on Non Violence was presented by Arya Dahiya of class P3 B. They all enlightened everyone about the ideologies that Gandhiji wanted the citizens of India should follow with utmost sincerity. Last but not the least, Rehan Suri of class P5 C sang a song ‘Rahupati Raghav raja Ram…’, Aarav Khatri of class P3 B dressed as Gandhiji himself spoke eloquently about his life, Amber of class P1B presented a poem on ‘Gandhi Ji ke teen Bandar’, Ruhaani Malhotra of class P2 B presented a poem ‘Aise the hamare Bapu’ and dance was presented by Myshaa Gupta of class P2 B and Atish Kaushik of class P2-C. They all exhibited their talents to bring out the importance of truth and honesty through their mesmerizing performances that left everyone spellbound. Numerous dance performances were also presented by the blue modernities that captivated everyone’s attention.
The young modernites could feel the essence and importance of the special assembly.
