Gandhi Jayanti -Special Assembly
At The Modern School, ECNCR, we believe in the holistic development of the students and assemblies are an integral part of their learning. Keeping that in mind, the students of classes P1 to P5 of Himalaya House celebrated Gandhi Jayanti – ‘the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi’ on October 1, 2018. The assembly started with the morning prayer, thought and talk presented by the little ones of class P1. To showcase a few glimpses of Gandhi ji’s journey to attain Independence, students of class P3 sang a melodious group song ‘Sabarmati ke Sant’ and the students of class P2 enacted on the same. The next performance, a nukkad natak on ‘Gandhi ji ke Teen Bandar ’ was presented by the students of P4 and P5. Gandhi ji’s teachings of ‘see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil’ which paved way for India’s freedom, were discussed in detail. The assembly culminated with a spellbinding dance performance by the students of P2 on ‘Bande MeinTha Dum’, to outline how one person is enough to bring about a change. The assembly was a grand success as it not only enlightened the students but also evoked a feeling of pride, being the citizens of an incredible country, which is the birthplace of beloved Bapu ji.
