An educational excursion was organised for the students of class P5 to National Science Centre, Pragati Maidan on July 30, 2022.

The students first visited Elixir for Life-Water Gallery wherein they were acquainted with the importance of water and various means to conserve it by designing one’s house in such a manner where water can be consumed judiciously. The teachers explained about all the important systems of human body. Next section that they visited was the Human Biology Gallery portraying details of human anatomy, physiology and biochemistry in an innovative way. In the Pre-Historic Life Gallery, they looked with curiosity and wonder at a replica of the world that existed millions of years ago. Students got an insight about the existence of prehistoric flora and fauna. At the end, the students visited the Fun Science Gallery which caught their attention instantly as it was hand on experience focusing on the fundamentals of science. The students participated in different quizzes and were delighted to see the mirror illusions.

The visit thus turned out to be successful by fulfilling its aim of imparting scientific knowledge in an interesting way and a great way to arouse curiosity in the minds of the students. It was a thrilling and motivating experience.
