The Modern School, ECNCR organised a special assembly to celebrate  Energy Conservation Day on December 13, 2018.

It was celebrated to highlight the concerns related to energy consumption and its scarcity in the world. Its impact on the sustainability of global eco systems and the alternative sources of energy available such as renewable sources of energy, were discussed.

Energy conservation as the need of the hour was emphasized upon and the tiny little steps that students could pledge to take were listed and exhibited in the power point presentation shown to the students , on the ‘burning topic’ enveloping the mindsets of the human populace across the world .

The students were also encouraged to spread the message of energy conservation among their family and friends, by asking prompting and thought provoking questions such as-How are we wasting energy? How can we save energy? What are the healthy and renewable sources of energy? Which are the simple steps to be taken at home to save energy ? etc. It was yet another venture of Interact club to contribute and spread awareness among people so as to make the planet a better place to live on. The concept of preservation and sustainable development was outlined in the assembly.
