Diwali Celebrations
“Candles to enjoy life; Decorations to light life; Presents to share success; Sweets to sweeten success; and worship to thank God.â€
Diwali is the time when lights illuminate every corner of India and the scent of incense sticks hang in the air, mingled with the sounds of joy, togetherness and hope. Modernites celebrated the festival of lights with great fervour and jubilation through a plethora of activities and special assemblies.
The students indulged in numerous online art activities like Diya Decoration, Toran and Poster Making, Rangoli Making as well as Drawing and Painting, revelling in the festive spirit. Vindhyanchal House organised a special assembly on the auspicious occasion of ‘Diwali and Bhai Dhooj’ for classes Nur-S7 on October 29, 2021. The students wore their ethnic attires and relished the sweets shared virtually with each other. The importance of Diwali and Bhai Dhooj was elaborated upon through a small PowerPoint Presentation; the festival spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil and hope over despair. The students also recited heart-warming poems and shlokas, presented dances and a skit on Diwali that encouraged all to have a green and safe Diwali.
The assembly culminated with the message of celebrating the auspicious festival with others by illuminating their lives with joy and happiness.
