The Modern School, ECNCR celebrated Independence Day on August 10, 2019 with great verve and patriotic fervour.The school premises, adorned with the three colours of the national flag, looked resplendent.The event commenced with the hoisting of the national flag in the school ground.The honoured members of the school management as well as Rotarian Vipin Jain, President, Rotary Club, Delhi, Restoring Smiles were the eminent guests.The Principal, Ms. Abha Sadana welcomed the august gathering of distinguished guests and parents thanking them for their gracious presence on the occasion.

The auditorium resonated with the feeling of patriotism with the rendering of the song 'Janani Janambhoomi' by the school choir.The dance ballet 'Azad Soch', a colourful spectacle of new India,showcased the need for understanding the importance of breaking old beliefs and prejudices ushering the country into the new century;embracing the values that India stands for.The highlight of the programme was the reiteration of the essence of our national emblem 'Satyamev Jayate' and its significance in today's times.

Mr. Kamal Aggarwal, in his address, urged the students and parents to have a forward thinking thought process to touch lives and bring a meaningful change. The event culminated with the vote of thanks proposed by the Headmistress, Ms. Rimpy Verma.The audience was spell bound with the magnificent performances of the participants with their eloquent dialogue delivery and graceful dance movements. It was a day of joy, a day to love and respect our country and make it a better place for Indians to live and experience the freedom, peace and unity in diversity.
